I saw him speak in Las Vegas when he sought election for President (guess it wouldn't be re-election, since he got the office by default ). He was a very dynamic speaker!!
He had a good run at this life, and died "at a good old age, an old man and full of years". and considered to be a good person Godspeed over RB, former President Ford!

I was only a small child when Ford took office, but he was the first president that made an impression on me. I actually sent him a "complaint" letter about inflation and was thrilled to receive a response on White House letterhead assuring me the president would address the situation. It made such an impression that I "campaigned" for him two years later, wearing a homemade Ford/Dole pin, everywhere I went! I was way too young to vote, but wished I could have.
