It's almost 4AM, I've been up since 3AM and I have a cold. Needed to do something constructive, so started the daily thread.

Supposed to be sunny and warmer and Mom has an appointment this afternoon. I also need to shop for new tires.

aaaaaaaaa-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *sniffle*

Forgot to mention a bit of good news. While searching for the package of throat drops I found chocolate.

I've been sick as has the rest of my family. But, hopefully it's passed now.
I'm hoping today is a nicer day, so the kids can ride thier new 4 wheelers that we got them for Christmas.

Other than that, not much going on today.
Have a GREAT day all!!

I woke up to an early alarm call I wasn't ready for (BF had to be in very early) and couldn't get back to sleep, so here I am at 5.30ish and have already washed my hair and am relaxing on here before braving the outside world.

It looks like flurries out there but is too dark to be sure, but is cold enough for snow, so probably is

My morning got off to a good start, minx decided to climb on next doors extension roof and couldnt get down! I have been out in my pyjamas, with a chair, arms outstretched and still couldn't reach her! I just told her c'mon girl you got trust me enough to jump onto them, she looked a bit wary but she did it and I grabbed her, so all is well..not sure the neighbours were delighted by my belly showing and a flash of my knickers

Good Morning. Well I got home from work last nigth to find out that a friend of Lee's house burned down at 2am. So we have been busy trying to gather clothes for them to wear. What a crappy time for that to happen. Then again I don't know a good time for that to happen. No one was hurt and all the animals are safe so that is a good thing.

Other than that not a whole lot going on today.

Good morning everyone!!

I hope that you feel better soon Jan & Tammy

Today looks like it's going to be a very slow day for me. It was supposed to be a fairly busy last day of work for me (it's my last day at this job) but it's been snowing and freezing rain at that end of the city so my day was just cancelled
I still have to go in and clear out all of my personal things though.

Have a great Wednesday all!

We have workers in running new cables for the computers so there goes my nice quiet day

I'm so sorry to hear such terrible news. Bless you for being there to help them.

We don't have any snow but scraping the windshield and windows off this morning was no fun. Someday (when pigs fly) I'll have a garage for my car instead of my husbands toys and tools.

Jan, I also hope you feel better! If having chocolate is what makes you feel better I'll send you all of mine.

Thanks for the prayers everyone! Hopefully they are back on their feet in no time. Unfortunately the home was paid off and they no longer had insurance on it so they don't have any coverage on their matrial things either. I have yet to find out what they have salvaged and need so I can post on freecycle to see if anyone there is willing to help. I will update you all when I learn more.

That is sad that they didn't have insurance on the house. Our house is also paid for, but we have always carried the insurance on it. I do hope they were able to salvage some stuff.

But at least themselves and all the animals were ok, material things can be replaced.

Just came back from the vet. We did more blood tests on Nakita and will have the results tomorrow. It's still really touch and go, but the hardest part is Nakita thinks I'm the enemy now.
You can read more in the Nakita thread in the health section of the forum. Hopefully the New Year will bring good health to all of us.

We had a really quiet Christmas. I've been watching Nakita like a hawk these last few days and was ready to take her to the emergency vet if necessary. I ended up going for 3 Christmas dinners though! Christmas Eve dinner was seafood and Finnish dishes. Christmas day was split between Rob's parents who cooked a traditional Czech dinner with goose and potatoe crepes. Then we rolled over to my mom's house for the traditional turkey. I think I'm more stuffed now than the turkey!

We had ice rain/snow this morning. It was pretty scary since on the way to the vets there was balck ice and a couple of cars almost went into us. But thank goodness we made it there and back safely. That's all I need, a car crash to enhance Nakita's health experiences.

Now, I'm just waiting for the job offer to be sent to me today or tomorrow and I'll sign on the dotted line.
