I got a $50 to Super Pet, and $10 to Tim Hortons, just what I need!
I hope I get some HMV or Chapters cards, I'm just dying to get some new DVDs.

Susie? Home Depot has small appliances, light bulbs (for your new lamp?), and other goodies. Maybe you can get a hammer.
They have plants and gardening stuff too!

DH's sister sent me one for Kohls (already spent!) and DH got one for Best Buy. We gave ones to Walmart for the guy who loaded DH's truck and the guy who was his 'helper' on his route.

I didn't get any gift cards, I guess it's cause I'm easy to shop for. But my bf got one to best buy and one to Macy's.

My Neice got me one from WalMart.
I already spent over half of it today buying cat litter.
I really wish I could train those little furballs to poop in the toilet

Think of the money I'd save!

Surprisingly I didn't get any gift cards this holiday season. I guess my family really knew what to get me this year for Christmas because I loved every single gift.

$10 to starbucks and $50 to home depot

I
my home depot gift card! It's my toy store! I keep joking that I'm probably the only 26 year old girl in the world who asked for a miter saw for christmas

I only got one gift card for Christmas and that was to Shoe Carnival. I go through two or three pair of shoes a year at work so it will definately come in handy.

I love Home Depot. I bought a lot of supplies for my aquariums there. Everything from sand to heavy duty shelving to twin tube shop lights for the tanks. Much, much cheaper than going to a pet store or LFS (local fish store).

Sounds like you and Sar/Sarah would get along. She's into power tools, too!

All 4 kids got $30.00 ones from my Mother-in-law and a $20.00 one from my Brother-in-law.
They're for Wal-Mart, so I'll make a run there with the kids when we're all feeling better. This outta be soooooooo much fun with 4 kids, and a total of $200.00. Think I'll buy me some Calgon.

Not at all, I think you can happily join the ranks of the rest of us (even on here) who wanted power tools, my BF works in construction and I still have better power tools than he does

Rock on gals! It's so good to hear this! From the reactions I have been getting lately, I really was starting to think I was the only one.

Within the past year I called someone to install a fence for my dogs and when he gave me an outrageous price quote, I told him I'd rather put up the fence myself for $1000 in materials. He said.... "You have a husband that can do that for you?" Erm.... wait.... what?!

Shortly afterward I had to go to the store to pick up new filters for my R/O water filter and while the guy was helping me pick the right ones (first time I had to replace them) he said "Do you have a husband or boyfriend?" At first I thought he was hitting on me... and then he said "... because you can ask him what a strap wrench is. You'll need one." Ahem...

Especially cracks me up since my BF probably couldn't tell the difference between an alan wrench and a phillips... but yet I'm supposed to ask him what a strap wrench is... ok then.

Makes me want to take my belt sander to them!

I get the same reaction when I go to look at cars (I like to car shop I know it is sick but I enjoy it
) and I am alone and they start acting like I know nothing about cars and then you just have to blow them out of the water with your knowledge! I love seeing the looks on their faces when you tell them about something they think you are clueless about!

I know that feeling

A while back I went to Home Depot for some lumber to make the buys a new cat tree, the guy started telling me really dumb stuff like you have to cut it with the grain etc or it will splinter and make sure you move your fingers away from the saw blade
... ummm if I was that dumb I would let you cut it!
