I took the week off and I am checking caller ID whenever the phone rings! I don't care what it is! They can fix it without me! Or they can just close down till next Tuesday and I'll think about coming in!
Well I knew before Christmas that I would have to come in, there are only three of us in the office, one is still quite new and can't do everything that needs to be done (and while most of it could wait a few days, the boss won't be happy), the other is off sick and has been for over a month, so I am going in on the promise of time off in Feb (when it is usually busy) because I want to go to Ottawa for Winterlude and have nearly a month of vacation time owed to me!

There are only 4 of us in my office and the other 3 are all on vacation this week so here I am. My first coherent thought was COFFEE! Turned on the water tap and no water.
Called maintenance and it appears as though a pipe has ruptured and the water to all 5 of the buildings has been turned off and doesn't expect to be returned to functioning until at least noon.
But, thank goodness, we have the large water bottle service for drinking water so I got my coffee and am now a happy camper. I don't expect the phones will ring much so I may just end up by mid-day under the desk curled up having a nap too.
Thank goodness for TCS or I would be bored silly.
I brought my CD of Il Divo's Siempre so I can enjoy that without bothering anyone else.

I think I may be joining the nap under the desk camp (although we have a nice comfy sofa that looks like a better option), tis quiet here even with the renovations happening around me

I'll have all of you know, I did end up going to bed at 8:30 last night!
And slept all through the night! And I do feel better, but I still think I could use another couple of good nights of sleep!
(wouldn't it be nice if we all had cots at work for nap time, kinda like in kdgtn?)

Oh I would so love to have nap time at work! Siesta! Seriously! I'd stay a bit later to get my nap!
Not back till Jan 8 - although I'm always up for a lovely spot of tea! Everyone seems to know that too - I got tea assortments from daughter, parents, a Tim Horton's teapot from boss, Tea mugs from a co-worker! They know - don't get between Colleen and her tea!
