Golly, I guess I messed up on my previous thread - When I said that we had to mummy her, that means being wrapped in a towel. She really gets hostile when we do this (and I would too if someone wrapped ME up in a towel), but I don't see any other way to keep paws and claws from flying when we have to give her the medicine. Fortunately, the medicine is in a chicken flavor suspension, so it's not that nasty pink stuff that we originally used.

I appreciate all your suggestions and hope to hear from anyone else who has anything to add!

Well, the towel we save for last resort. Hubby and I have made medicine a joint effort. I put the cat on my lap sitting on their bums and facing outwards. I hold the front paws down and gently scruff them...hubby get the medicine down. I have a few that resist, but most I can do myself.

Hi Sandi!

I think your idea is good and I will try it - but not on Princess. The other 3 kitties are much more tractable and would put up with it. She is too hyper and uses teeth and claws if she doesn't like what's going on. And she definitely doesn't like to be medicated, although she doesn't try to chew up the dropper as much with the chicken-flavored medicine as she did with the icky pink stuff. I do appreciate your input and will try it on the others if they have to be medicated.

Thanks so much!
