He's lying in bed with three blankets on top of him shivering, and he looks flushed. The flu has made its grand appearance here. He's going to be a big baby for the next three days! I could just kill my SIL.

If you let me come I promise I'll take a bath in bleach and burn my clothes! When my husband is sick he's the worst cranky baby you can imagine.

Awww..you poor things! I'm sorry you two aren't feeling well.
I hope ya'll will start to feel better soon. Did you ever get your airborne/zinc? Maybe that will help a bit
I'm sorry your SIL did that to you guys. She should have not brought someone around her entire family knowing they were ill.

I think you have held your tongue long enough with your SIL. Maybe DH will handle her. Sorry you guys are sick. I hope you both start feeling better soon.

Oh no I will have a little chat with her once we are all better. She called later on today and had the gaul to LAUGH and say it sucks to be sick!

I'm so sorry that you're both sick.
Your SIL sounds like a real piece of work....I have one like that too.
I sometimes think my Brother was under the influnence when he married her

It's my husband's sister. I often wonder how they are related.

Trust me I've thought of that one. I'm thinking about having him dropped off at her door step so he can be a cranky baby over there.

Sounds good to me! DH got sick a few weeks ago and it's only about the second time in the 5 years we've been together. I was not dealing with Mr. Whiney McCranky-Pants very well! Good thing I changed majors in college, I'm obviously a bad nurse!

What is DH?
Dear husband. He's fever broke last night but he still looks really bad. I get to do a juice/pharmacy run today so we are going to stock up on everything that calms a stomach.

EDIT: DH would like me to add that he isn't sick; he's dying.

Sorry to hear about the sickness. I totally understand. Tell DH to hold on and don't go toward the light! lol. My dad is the same (bf isn't quite as bad). Dad will always tell me "if a woman was as sick as I am now, she'd be in the hospital". LMAO. This from the man who claimed to have been bitten by a snake when a bungie cord snapped back at him! Had to take him to the ER to convince him that he just had a speck of metal stuck in his hand!

Since you're doing a juice run, I assume you're pushing fluids at him, good for you. I would reccomend something that'll replace electrolytes as well as water, though, especially if he has any diarrhea or loose bowels. Pop and sugar-y juices will only irritate his stomach. Pedialyte is great because it's low in sugar and high in electrolytes he may be losing, but I'll assume he wouldn't drink that, so try gatorade or powerade. Limit sugar intake, especially processed sugars, and stick him on the BRAT diet....Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. None of that should upset his stomach, but it will give him some of the nutrients he's missing. Other than that, tylenol or advil (a little easier on the tummy) for fever and pain, roll the tv to him, or vice versa, and try to get him to sleep as much as he can. Pepto (vomitting, diarrhea, nausea) OR gravol (just nausea and dizzyness) OR imodium (diarrhea and gas pain) can settle his stomach if it's bothering. Good luck and here's hoping it passes quickly!

Most men are kinda like that
We women are used to having small things alot ( WERE tougher )
If there's a day I didn't wake up with some small thing I'd know something is not right

My DH does not ever complain, he spent over 20 years in the Navy and never missed a single day from being sick
I think it's because he's stubborne more then anything. Nine years we have been married I have never seen him lay on the couch never

I second the pedialyte - it is excellent for keeping you hydrated. I would however recommended getting one that's flavored- otherwise it just tastes gross. Also- the pedialyte popsicles are better than the juice! They taste like freezer pops and they are easier to use if you don't like the aftertaste of regular pedialyte. You do have to eat quite a few of them though to stay hydrated. Good luck!
I hope you and your hubby feel better soon.

Wow. If I hadn't seen pictures of him, I'd wonder if your DH was moonlighting as my BF.
