Foster puppies photos!

I am currently fosternig 6 Lab X puppies for the humane society I volunteer for. They were born 11/4/2006. Mom was a stray these people found. Mom was always thin/sickly. They finally decided to take her to the vet when the pups were 4 weeks old. Sadly, when the people got home from work, mom was dead in the yard. So, these pups have been eating puppy chow & getting puppy milk since they were 4 weeks old. Casper is the white female, Copper is the gold male, Carmen is a black female, Courage is a black male, Charlie is a black male, & Casey is a black female. I cannot tell the black 4 apart. I didn't look at their descriptions before I brough them home! I put collars on 3 of the 4 black ones. I call them red collar, blue collar, stripey collar, & no collar!

They are outside shut in a shed(I got told no to housepuppies). It's like 55* F in that shed! I couldn't believe how warm it was...I thought I was going to have to move them to the heated shop(same temp in there). A few int he shed pics....

Today playing outside...

They weren't allowed to touch the ground at the humane society because of parvo, so they are thrilled to be running around here! I cut the legs off some old blue jeans so they'd have more toys. I must admit, I am loving this whole puppy fostering thing!

I'll post more as I get them taken & in my photobucket!

They are so cute. I want a puppy.

OMG they are so absolutely adorable!!! Mine were also born on 11/4 but 3 years ago. 2 of a litter of 11 puppies from a feral dog that was dart-gun sedated to catch her. Mom was a setter mix and she had either reddish or black puppies also, about the size of yours.

I went over to the foster mom's house to pick out our puppy (we wanted one and adopted 2) and only have to say this: you are wise to have a warm shed for them. Sam/Spike and their littermates ate her tile floor, carpet, and everything else they could get their little mouths on. Not to mention all the puppy piddle and poop to clean up every 1/2 hour.

But talk about puppy bliss, getting down on the floor with 11 wiggly puppies. I'm envious!!

Ohhhhhhh they are so sweet!!

A bunch of puppies - what a wonderful thing to have, too much lovin' all piled up in the one place! I hope they find special homes. Looks like they've got pit in them, too (especially the gold and white ones) so they'll be BIG!

Gorgeous babies

lol Spoken like a true cat person!

Susie, your cats would hate them! It's funny...they constantly go after the outside cats & get beat up. After a week you'd think they'd get it...only one has!

Kenz, these guys will be nowhere near the size of Sam! Judging by their size now comapred to our Labs size at the same age & now that she's all grow up, I'd say the 50-60 lb. range. What I consider little dogs. The mix we think they are, Cattle Dog(best guess, honestly), Cattle Dogs aren't very big....then again....Labs can be huge!

They're all so cute, but my absolute favourite little guy is Cooper.

They'll be 2 months on the 4th of Jan.

Copper is spoken for, but I don't care at all for the people. The woman was a meanie! She spoke directly past me to an "adult" volunteer(I'm 19) rather than talk to me---the foster mom. She asked the other volunteer if he was housetrained, where he was living, what sorts of toys/treats/chews he liked. The other volunteer told her to talk to me, but she refused! Casey has an application in on her & I'm really sad, but when I talked to the family, I really liked them!
