He attacked me today!

I was walking by his bowl of food. Maybe it's his way to tell me to fill it up. I was getting dressed to let the dog out so I was ignoring his usual "I want food" meow. Then he jumped on my leg and started biting! I yelled and he jumped off and when he did that he pushed with his back legs against my food. He made a scratch on my foot which BTW hurts!

I swear Puff has gone psycho!
What is he doing? And how can I stop it!

With a firm, strict "NO!" and wait to refill his foodbowl.

Like a little kid, if he figures out that he can get food by attacking you, then you'll be in trouble anytime his bowl is empty.

Maybe that's been my problem. Because anytime hes done that I have just given him a little handful of food..
He's only been here a month and he has me trained...lol. Worse yet I know better. I train my own dog(s).

Cats like routine- I'd stick to one and he will eventually calm down when you are around. If you can train dogs then I believe that you will find a cat equally rewarding
