I have been reading about the Singapura breed. I don't actually know anyone that has one. I am curious. Anyone here have one? Can you tell me stories?

I've only seen a few at cat shows - maybe 2-3 times - they are small cats - one color - sepia. Seem nice but shy. Don't have any first hand experience. I think they are on the rare side - not too many breeders.

At the kitty's beck and call
I am slave to two beautiful, roguish, rascally Singapuras! Their coat is Sepia ticked and their underside should be the colour of old ivory. As is usual there is a specific breed specification that they should match, but above all they are known to have a lovely nature.

If you would like to see photos of my two they can be seen here

I'd be happy to tell you more about their character if you have any questions.

Hi flisssweatpea...those links require your password. I am very interested in hearing about them. I haven't even seen them at the last couple cat shows I attended.

I thought they were!!! But I didn't want to ask since I can't see the body shape.

Anyway...I don't own any Singapura (...yet...
) but a dear friend and president of a cat club, is the only breeder of Singapuras in...Singapore!

I met my first few Singapuras a month back and was taken by their color and personality...after all, I am an Aby breeder and love all agouti/ticked cats and their purrsonality doesn't run very far from the abys too!

Very rare cats - wonderful!

Oh yes, there is read-only access by using the password Tolstoy. I forgot about that

I don't know anything about the breed, in fact this is the first I had heard about them. I looked them up on the CFA site and they are cute especially their big eyes. They are small, the article on the CFA site even said that vets that aren't familiar with the breed often think something is wrong with a kitten because they are so small.
