well i just finshed cleaning out my kitties' litterboxes. a grueling (but rewarding) task. rewarding because we all luv seeing the expression of joy and gratitude on our baby's faces when they discover their potty has been scooped. but grueling because who likes to spend their time shifting through cat poop?
but they are TOTALLY worth it!
who's with me?

Yep, I love the feeling after I clean out her box and refill with clean fresh litter...to be honest she doesn't seem to notice, but I notice and I feel like I accomplished something...I mean lets face it, its not a small job

Yup! My crew LOVES to start using the boxes as I clean them. I can't blame them, though - I hate going in an unflushed toilet myself
My kits have quite a few boxes around the house, over 2 per cat; if anyone poos in JC's box, he pesters me till it gets scooped, he's even put a bag of cat litter in the box a few times, and sometimes the litter scoop
I'm pretty sure that it's Andy who's the offender - Joey will smell the poo and track down Andy and give him a cuffing - cat politics

Mine do the same thing
as soon as I clean out their litter, they want to go and create the most disghusting smell in the clean litter...i swear they're trying to torture me!
I can't keep it clean for a second around them

It just seems like the running water when you kind of sort of have to go.

The pouring of the litter is what gets Whitey. sometimes he's in there while I'm stilling POURING the litter into the box

Mine love fresh litter. They sit and stare at me while I clean out the boxes. I always feel like they are telling me "Get to it, Mom. You know thats your job to clean our poo"
It doesnt stay clean for more than 2 seconds, after its been changed. Someone has to christen every box!

Now, if we could just come up with an alternative energy source run on "kitty poop". . .

I think about that often as I trudge to the trash can outside with my bag of "treasure"
.

This is going to sound funny, but once I really needed a stool sample from 8-Bit. I knew if I cleaned out the litterbox, bleached it out, and put in brand new litter from a fresh box that he'd go. So I did. Needless to say I got my sample!

Oh my gosh, I just finished up a faze that I had where I refused to clean out the litter. I didnt have enough time to take a shower! So why clean out litter? Then, when it got dirty enough, I'd just dump the WHOLE litter box into the garbage and start fresh! But now I think I'll try to scoop, because I was waisting too much litter!

Does anyone else have a cat that bats at the litter as its being poured? Whitey does that too...if he's not in it, he's making sure that the litter is being evenly spread by scooping at it
