forgive me, I am experimenting.

When I first posted the picture it was in the thread, then when I edited it for cropping, it came back as the link. what happened? I am going to paste it again, lets see what happens. I was thinking about replacing the one in the contest picks, but I am not going to do it if this what happens when you edit. A few extra lights won't hurt, although it bothers the hell out of me!

You were missing the first [ on the IMG tag Was IMG] should be [IMG]

I fixed the link in the Photo Contest for you too. You had the wrong image file name.

Nah - HTML is just very picky. Starting tag require ending tag and matching brackets.
