Hello all,

I am worried about my kitty, Cleo. I have noticed when she is laying on her back (as she so loves to do) that in her lower abdomen (I am guessing where her intestines are located) there is a u-shaped "protrusion", I will call it, that I think must be an organ (perhaps her intestines...) When she is standing, it hangs down kind of like a little sac. It is right under her belly at the lowest point of her underside. If I feel it, it is soft and can be moved around. She does not seem to be in pain. Perhaps this is normal, I have no clue. I am hoping someone here can enlighten me. She seems completely normal (eating and drinking and using the litterbox like always), but I got worried when I noticed the u-shaped lump. She was spayed about 2 months ago, I hope this has nothing to do with it! If anyone can help, please let me know! THANKS!

My cat went out and didn't come home like usual. I found her the next morning outside and she was acting very strange. I had to pick her up and bring her in. I could tell very much in her face she was in pain. I called the vet and made an appmt. But not until 6/6/13 today I noticed that she has a U shaped lump on her lower abdomen that narrowed in the middle and widened to her sides. I will post when I return from the vet. I hope she doesn't have a hernia or blockage. Any info from anyone who might have had a similar issue/situation I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You.
