horrible!!!! It's all faded and threadbare. I have never seen anyone fly the flag if it was in such poor condition before and I thought there was a rule against doing this.

Wow! 12 distinct rules on how to display a flag? Who'd have thought it was so complicated. Anybody know if there are similar rules for displaying the Canadian flag? I didn't know such rules even existed, very interesting...

I agree that she should at least fly one that has an appealing appearance.

Myself, with all those rules, I'd be sooooo stressed out trying to figure out if I was doing it right. I haven't heard of that in Canada either but, hey....maybe it does exist.

I decorated our office on Canada day.....now I wonder if it was done properly

Thanks for the links Lhezza. I found the information I was looking for and I'll pass it on to my neighbor.

In Australia, it's seen as kind-of disrespectful to fly the country's flag if it's in bad condition. But maybe your neighbor can't afford a new one, who knows?
