Hi guys!

I'm getting to know some of you in here pretty fast - and you're all extremely nice - it's strange, but a welcomed/good strange!

Anyway, I am looking for a Burmese cat. However, I heard they are quite costly.

I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Does anyone know of a good place to search for breeders in my area (or around it)?

I did a lot of searching on Google, found some, but maybe these Burmese are just harder to find.

Any help, again, would be great!

Thanks.
Barry

Hi.

I found that one, but this time, I emailed them, so thanks!

Man, these buggers (Burmese) are hard to find!

Thanks.

Hi.

Why do you think Burmese cats would be hard to find in the Toronto, Canada area?

The simple answer is because there aren't that many Burmese and European Burmese breeders around anyway!
But then I may be totally wrong and there may be one just around the corner from you!

I just check FBRL and you've already found the 2 canadian Burmese breeders listed there and there are NO European Burmese breeders listed for Canada!

Hey.

That's kinda the impression I was getting...Burmese are hard to find...been considering a Bengal more and more because of the rarity issue....

Anyway, thanks for getting back so quick!

Two seriously different breeds Barry! No offense to Bengal breeders anywhere but I'd rather have a Burm then a Bengal!

I'm getting a E Burm in July!!!

Hi.

You could be right...I seem to know a decent amount about the Burmese...and I like what I here! However, all I know about the Bengal, and I was just about to go on answers.com to research them, is that they look cool!

Thanks...Barry

I would not get a cat just because they look cool. Please read up on the breed. I have a Bengal mix. And they are totally different from Burmeses. Nazumi has the Bengal atittude (though doesnt really look like one) and believe me they are interesting cats. If you are up for their energy and honeryness then I would say go for it. But do your research and find a reputable breeder.

Thanks 4crazycats, you're right.

I know quite a bit now about the Burmese...and I "think" I'm close to reserving one...man, they're rare...and hard to find!

Read up on the Bengal extensively too - they sound great!

Good Luck! I love Burmeses. So you found one near you?

As for the Bengals they are great cats! I just love them and I hope that some day I can get a full blooded. I love my Zumi boy but I wish he looked like his mama.
