Hello
MY new kitten Forest almost 6months old - is sneezing more and more everyday - no other symptoms - except loose stools ( I think form the new introduction of wellness). The vet said not to worry... he is getting neutered on Friday - should I tell her about it before they start the procedure... Not sure what the sneezing means?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

Personally, I would inform the vet who is doing the procedure of the sneezing. Antibiotics might need to be ordered and administered, and could possibly force a postponment of the procedure too. Let them know, and they will advise appropriately. Just my 2 cents worth.

I also think you should let your vet know now. Sneezing is one thing, but if it is the start of an upper respiratory infection, your vet is going to want to treat that first, then go with the neuter. You have not noticed any runny eyes? Runny nose? Coughing? Not eating? Not drinking?

I haven't noticed any runny eyes/nose or cough... He does roll around in front of us ALL the time - not sure if this is an itchy/scratchy thing or if he just loves our attention

I will call the vet tomorrow...just to let her know ahead of time...

If there is no runny eyes, no runny nose, no coughing. If he is eating, drinking, using the litter box, playing......then I would just mention it to the vet when you bring him in to be neutered. They may want to use less anthesthesia on him.

My kitten Marbles used to sneeze all the time. He wasn't doing anything else other than sneezing. My vet put him on antibiotics and 3 days later he was fine. I think you need to talk to your vet more in detail about it.
