Get well quickly vibes to Scratch. Your vet sounds wonderful.

Luckily for our kitties, my husband has always thought tinsel was too "gaudy" so we don't use it.

Bijou did manage to carry his honeysuckle mouse into the lower branches of the Christmas tree last evening though.

I'm so glad everything is OK! We usually put up a tree with ornaments, never tinsel, but this year I had to change my strategy because of the kittens. I only put soft stuffed ornaments with no hooks, which is good since our little fake tree has been picked up off the floor 4 times already. I did put lights on it, but the kittens somehow removed the bulbs from 2 strands now. Never again....

I'm so glad Scratch is gong to be ok; poor baby.

I stopped using tinsel years ago when one of our kitties started eating it like spaghetti. I switched to tinsel garland, only to have the same kitty chew thru it, and try it eat it that way. Now, it's only beaded garland at our house.

I'm so happy to hear that Scratch will be okay! I don't use tinsel, glass ornaments, ribbon, or garland at all - it's just too risky with a cat in the house.

She is still at the vets and is acting bright and alert, but hasn't eaten a whole lot and has not quite pooped yet.

Thank you everyone for the poop vibes!

She's going to stay there overnight again. Hopefully we will be able to pick her up tomorrow. She must be petrified. I hope she didn't think we dumped her there, and she's probably wondering why she has no fur on her belly.

Sending {{{prayers and vibes}}} out to Scratch and her very worried family. Glad that the situation isn't as bad as first thought; however, it's still a rough time for you all. Sounds like you have truly compassionate vets and that Scratch is in excellent hands. Please keep us posted on how she's doing

Thanks for the poop vibes, everyone!

Scratch can come home today! We'll be picking her up in about half an hour.
