No, same amount of ticking, she's just lighter then the other two...pity really coz she's got the best profile so far...we'll see what some sunbathing can do for her color! She should get darker when she's older but at the moment (unfair at one month) she's pet quality! Doesn't matter at all! She's loved and happy and that's all that matters!!!

Who looks more like mom and who looks more like dad? I know it must be difficult trying to get type and pattern and color all in one. Are their paw pads black (you know I'd love to see pics )? Do you breed somalis too? Am I asking too many questions???

Hmmm...Paws are a dark pink, it should turn soon. Will take pics if you really want! Type and pattern I have, it's getting the perfect ruddy color that's proving to be elusive! So far the babies are looking more like Reecie but I see some of Stevie's boning and general body type, but really, it's too soon to tell.

How about their personalities? Is it still too soon to tell about that too?

I can't believe just how adorable they are! I'd love to hug and kiss and snuggle one of those babies!

Gizzie, theres a cat show coming up in Crown Point Indiana in January. Depending on where you are in Chicago, its probably no more than 30-45min from you. I'm going to be showing my Duke in the HHP class. The last show had some AMAZING abys and somalis. The abys were the most active bunch there! Even more than the OSH, balinese and bengals! One was actually my favorite cat there and I think he won third best cat in show! If you're interested, PM me for info.

I have to check out the show. That would be so cool to see other kittens and cats of different kind. It's so strange for me I went from not liking cats to adore them and a cat mom. Anyone who doesn't like cats need to get one and I guarantee they will change their mind.

Thanks! My cattery is still too young to sell the show kitties as pets at the moment and my wait list is somehow long (I suppose it comes form being one of 2 Aby breeders in Asia outside of Japan!).

Bintang is very sweet indeed!

They are all naughty and have learnt that the tower of books make for a great way to get to meowmy's bed!

LOL! Abbys ARE mischeivious aren't they? So you are selling them all as show quality only? That's ok, I still want all of them!!!!! They aren't common around here either, just in the bigger cities. I think Rocket is one of three in Clinton? He used to be the only one for a long time but now they've told me of two others that they know of(the vets office) So there could even be more that I don't know of, but it's not very likely around here. So you're Abbys are in high demand? How long have you been breeding them? Are they a common cat in Asia?

No, Bulan has been booked as a show/breeder, Suria as a show neuter and Bintang will go as a pet (unless her color improves dramatically!). Registered Abys are still pretty rare around these parts (let's not talk about BYB's shall we???). Asia is still pretty much in love with the longhair breeds and breeders such as I who are crazy enough to breed shorthairs are fighting an uphill battle! My Abys are in demand simply because I have great lines and produce good kittens. I've only been breeding for around 2.5 years but I've being showing a lot and promoting the breed and the shorthair breeds in general! This is my second litter ever! Most Asians still think that all longhair cats are "Persians" and all pointed cats are "Siamese" and everthing else are cats you find on the side of the road!

Rocket is not being naughty! He's just being an Aby! I once "lost" my Reecie and when she finally answered my frantic calls I had to look up! She was happily perched on top of the A/C unit!
