I am feeling really bad. I believe DS and Ceci had their first negative encounter last night. They had interacted before, but only under my supervision, and DS was always gentle with her (hes 1 1/2yrs). Well last night I found a nasty looking bald spot about the size of a quarter on Ceci's neck. It had a teensy bit of blood on it.

After panicking and wanting to rush her to an e-vet, I realized my son was probably the culprit. I dont know how this could have happened, he is never around her if im not there. Im guessing he went into his room and she was there, and he tried to grab her, and maybe Ceci jumped away, leaving this bald spot? I dont like the look of it at all, so I took her in the bathroom and put a bit of Triple Antibiotic on the wound, and while I was attending it, I noticed two other bald spots, very small in size, but no wound like the first, just a small hairless patch.

Could this have indeed been done by my son? Or could this be caused by a totally different reason? If I dont see an improvement in the wound, I believe i'll have to take her to the vet.

Please help!

Sounds like one possibility could be ringworm?? it creates little bald patches and if Ceci is scratching that would explain the little bit of blood

You know, even though i've never seen a case of ringworm this did actually cross my mind. What symptoms would she be exhibiting?

Could it be possible teven if she is indoor? I havent seen her really scratching at it, she hasnt even paid much attention to it, except after I examined her, she groomed a bit.

I dont have a carrier but I have already arranged to get one from a friend, and ive been calling different vet clinics.

As far as I'm aware, there really are no symptoms except for the little bald patches and some scratching, I do know that they will glow under a black light

I would say more than anything it is ring worm also.
As for symptoms, hair loss and some flacking will be noticed on the spot.Since you said there are a couple of other spots, I really suspect ring worm.
YES, they can get it even if they don't go outside.Other animals and humans can bring the ring worm in on their clothes and etc. If she was recently at the Vet's, it's possible she picked it up from there.
Can you post a pic of the wound?

I also think it sounds like ringworm. You would be amazed at the different ways ringworm manifests itself! I've had one cat who has had it 3x(is currently being treated for the 3rd time), one that has had it once, & another that has had it once. Every single time & in every single cat, it has looked different. What you are describing sounds like "classic ringworm".
