Well, definitely not Cat Fancy. It's basically just a big parade of glossy pictures of fancy-pants breed cats and they tend to treat rescued, semi-feral, feral, sepcial-needs and shelter kitties like some kind of fungus. I've also come across a lot of misleading, false and outdated information in there....something almost every month. The entire back half is a directory of breeders, which is kind of...terrifying...to me.
The best way to learn to take care of your cats is to buy a good book. I like THE CAT OWNER'S MANUAL by Dr. Bruce Fogle and THINK LIKE A CAT by Pam Johnson-Bennett.
Magazines are designed to sell products and discuss ephemeral subjects. Books are more useful for learning how to take care of your pet.
