For the past several days I've had my landlord's maintenance guy in and out of the apartment during the day while I'm at work working on some faulty plumbing in our bathroom. It's taking several days because he had to take part of a wall out in the bathroom to get to it.
Anyway, I've been putting Anya in the bedroom during the day and asking the maintenance guy to let her out when he leaves so she won't stay cooped up unnecessarily.
Yesterday I came home and my underwear drawer was open and several pairs of my panties were falling out and on the floor. I was a little creeped out wondering if the maintenance guy had done it or if I had been careless getting ready and left it like that myself.
This morning I got my answer. I was half awake at 6:00 am when I heard the sound of soft claws on wood. It was Anya who had finally figured out how to get on top of my chest of drawers and was prying open my underwear drawer with her paws. I watched as she started to dig through the drawer and dumped pair after pair onto the floor. I finally said her name as she had a little red lacey pair in her teeth. She just looked up like, "What mama? I'm not doin' nuffin."
Needless to say, the maintenance guy is off the hook...
