On Sunday night, I was grooming my cat Smokey. She is part perssian and siamese, and she has the long hair of Perssians. She had a large matted area on the inside of her right thigh. I carefully cut it and when I did, underneath was a hot spot. Other than neosporin, what else could any out there suggest I put on it. I do have a spray for hotspots. Thank you so very much.

Welcome to the site !
I would suggest that you call a vet to find out what they recommend
You don't want a serious infection to develope

Are you sure it's a hot spot and not ring worm? I second a Vet visit or consult.

I would advise the vet ... as it may be asimple hot spot ( DONT use a OTC treatment as many have tea tree oil ) or it could be an abcess
