Monday, I told you that my car started acting up on my birthday

Well, I had been sick all week so I wasn't able to take the car in until today. It was exactly what I thought it was, a sparkplug wire. They also had to replace the fuel filter and all the plugs. The idiots I took the car to last year for the same problem had put the wrong type/brand of plugs in and it cost me a lot more than it did this time!!!!

Well, I went ahead and had an oil change done that I needed and an additive added to the gas tank to clean the fuel injectors. All in all, it cost me $273. At least now my hubby won't worry about me driving at night.

Last time at a major parts store that also repairs cars the same thing cost me over $350, and that was without the oil change, fuel filter and additive. (the additive cost $58 by itself but I only will need that every 15000 miles). The place I took it to today is a National Muffler company and was finished diagnosing the problem and it was repaired within 3 hours. We had to wait since this is our only car. The other place the mechanics seemed to work on it maybe 5-10 minutes then take a 30 minute break. It took forever, and they put spark plugs for an American car when I drive a Kia. My car purrs now like a big sleek cat!! LOL
