.........about receiving an "internet" ordered gift ?

do you think its a "get out" ?

do you just love this sort of gifting ?

is it considering boring ?

I have ordered a few for my family living in UK, I found it very satisfying and dead easy..............
but one company didnt offer gift wrap, so I had to warn the receivers DW to watch out for the gift so she could wrap it & tag it. Oh and they left the invoice in the parcel

I have not been on the receiving end and just wonder how that might feel

I have sent a gift this way (for a baby shower) - it went down a treat.

Certainly I wouldn't mind - it is the thought in the selection of the gift that matters, nothing else.

Since I found my wife on the internet, I would find nothing wrong with this whatsoever! Also, I buy almost everything on the net, so could find no fault at all in somebody giving me something from the net...I had never even considered the possibility that there was something demeaning about it at all.

I have no problems with it either! It's easier sometimes, especially if you'd have to mail the gift to the person you're buying for anyway. I would be mad too if they left the invoice in there though!

if it's something i want/like, i don't care where they got it, or if it's gift-wrapped!

I have no problem whatever with that. In many ways it simplifies the matter of gift-giving, and if the person who is thinking of me to the extent of buying me a gift can get a break on the running around, I'm all for it. It is, after all, the thought that counts.

I often order online for friends / family in the UK - saves the worry of it getting lost at customs etc and getting to them in time for birthdays / holidays, my family don't mind at all and tend to do the same for me - its just easier

Hey I have even received Internet gift cards before. I have no problem with it. Also you have to realize that people hate going to the mall this time of year I figure if you can shop in the comfort of your own home and get the things that you want to for people and not use gas and pollute or get the whole "Christmas rage" going on it's better for you and those around you. I love the idea!!

I prefer to buy things in person, but sometimes you just can't. But I like to get net gifts sent to me so I can make sure it's just right before I give it!
