Lucky & Benson were fighting and now Lucky is squinting. I finally got a look at it and there is a tear on his eye. Do I take him to the vet or watch him?? He is acting normal except for the squinting at times.

How long ago did it happen? Radar sometimes gets dust in an eye when playing but he only squints for a few minutes then is back to normal. If he's been squinting for longer I would play safe and take him to the vet, or at least phone and ask for advice about whether you should bring him in
You wouldn't want to take the risk of it becoming infected.

It happened 15 minutes ago. He is acting fine now but I see something. It doesn't look deep just the surface.

Having scratched my own eye one time, I know how painful it can be. I would suggest a vet visit. Possibly he will give you something to prevent any infection from getting in and causing any major eye damage.

I'd err on the side of caution and get your kitty to the vet.
Our Sheltie & one of our cats were rough-housing one day, and the dog took a claw to the eye. Not even a scratch, more like a pin-prick, but I figured that if I could see it, it was bound to be painful. I took Daisy (the dog) to the vet & he recommended cauterizing the wound, even tho' it was so tiny.
He told me that any wound to the eye needed attention.

Eyes are certainly nothing to mess with! I would get to the vets as infections of the eye are nasty!

Molly received a scratch to her eye at the beginning of the year and the vet gave her a shot of antibiotics, anti inflam, some Fucithalmic eye drops and a course of antibiotics to prevent any infection

Good luck with the vets and let us know how you get on!

So now what I saw in Lucky's eye is gone. I can't find it anywhere. We didn't go to the vet yet. Money's tight and I figured I was freaking over nothing. I will keep a close eye on it for now. Thanks again. You guys are awesome!

I do the same thing all the time. Freaking over nothing. Its usually my hunny bunny who squints and then fuzzy like played with a candle too close a few months ago. He was fine though.
