Brenda, It's difficult to understand that sort of thinking! Obviously, they think the suffering of an dog is of no consequence. I understand now how inhumane the Western nations must appear to the people of India when they kill and consume cattle, which they (Hindus) honor.
However, we slaughter our food animals in as painless a way as is possible. It's horrendous to think of a beloved animal (to us) being destroyed in such a way. I don't even want to post the method, but I urge our members to read the whole pamphlet. Our governments, the governments of the free world, will have to put pressure on these people.

Jeanie, You are right about the Hindus, but we do try to do it as painlessly as possible. I got an email from IFAW, and I didn't copy it and post it because it was too graphic in the description of how the cats are kept and cooked.

sorry, i wont read that. one time i watched something on daleline about china or somewhere like that and they kept cats in cages and they killed them horribly for their fur. i cried for days. and it took a couple of weeks to get it out of my mind. things like this make my heart sink to the pit of my stomache. i truely don't understand how humans can be so cruel.
