Hi, my name is Ashriel, my fiancee and I have 2 kittens, we think one of them , Kate, might have burnt her lip sniffing a hot coffee pot...is there anything that we should be doing to help her out? She seems pretty bright and chirpy, and is eating well...it's just that the burn looks really sore.
Thanks
love Ash

Since the kitty's burn is on the lip, there is really nothing you can do for her. A burn damages the tissue and then the blister that forms over that protects that tissue from more harm. So just leave it be but keep your eye on it. If it starts oozing, or if she starts worrying it then call the vet. Anything you put on it will end up in kitty's system because of the location of the burn.

Thanks for the advice, just posting to say that her lip is now good as new (except I haven't seen her jumping up on the bench since... lol)
Cheers
love Ash
