We just brought home a stray cat two days ago. She checked out fine at the vet and has been eating a good amount. Then this morning she vomited and had some loose stools. Is this normal after the trauma of a car ride, vet visit, new home, and eating a lot more than she probably had in weeks?

Or is it something I should worry about?

I guess I'll just continue to moniter her and talk to the vet when she goes in for her spay surgery next week.

It could be a combination of a lot of those things. You are probably feeding her richer food than she was getting as a stray which could cause loose stools and vomiting.

Does she eat fast? That can also be a cause of vomiting. If she checked out OK at the vet then just keep an eye on her, maybe raise her food dish up so she eats more slowly, and if you add a teaspoon of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling canned pumpkin just the plain pumpkin) to her food it will help with the loose stool.

Keep us informed on how she is doing.
