i learned a long time not to do what i dislike at the holidays. we got rid of cards decades ago and once all the kids and relatives were grown we did charity donations in their name. so now all i do is what's personally rewarding or REALLY meaningful.

Like-Continuing the traditional Swedish celebrations in memory of my dad & our Swedish family members/ that we simplified Christmas to be a family & friends celebration without the Christmas "crazies"


Dislike-The whole commerialization of Christmas with all it's trimmings of money, money,money,things, things ,things,rude,rude,rude people & the list goes on....

Huge Crowds, Long Lines, People who have completly forgotten the real meaning of Christmas and try to make it all about presents,etc.,and Rude Snoty People!

We aren't related, are we?? We have exactly the same mix for ancestors - paternal Swedish, maternal English/Irish!

Oh i'm sure i'll have LOTS of fun stories after I make my trip to walmart this week
I'm liable to tell someone where they can put their basket if they cross me
Last year I got hit by 5 different baskets and people kept running over my feet- which is ok...but at least say "I'm sorry", or "Excuse Me" Uhhh! Where are peoples manners!
I'm gonna squish them
