**update: figured out the gift...scroll down to post #16 to find out**

Ok, this has nothing to do with TCS SS Exchange.
It actually has to do with a present Rob purchased for me today. We usually buy one small gift for each other. I seem to always know what he buys me before he even gives it to me, but not this year!!! I'm totally stumped.

Can you guys give me some ideas on what you think it might be from the following clues:

Price is around $100 CDN
He purchased it at Costco
Dimensions (estimates):
Length - 3 inch
Width - 4 inch
Height - 1/4 inch

It is not recommended to use in kitchen or bathroom (or near any water).
It has no off/on switch and it does not plug in or need batteries.
It comes with a carrying case and you can use it at work or at home.
It's unisex - both females and males can have this item.
Mostly used by older youths and adults.
It's not a clothing item.

You buy this item for its convenience and is semi-electronic (Rob's words, not mine!).
It can be used for photography, but can be used equally for other purposes.

You would not use this item on its own, it's an accessory for other devices (mainly electronic).

I am so confused right now. Usually, I can guess right away but I am totally lost. Any suggestions on what this item is? He has it hidden at work so I can't access it.

If the width and height were uniform, I would have guessed a camera lens

I guessed cell phone but I'm probably wrong.

I looked at our bank account today and saw he went to Cosco, but only brought home a cookbook.
I knew if he didn't bring it home, it must be a Christmas gift.
I started asking him questions and he knew he wouldn't get off the hook if he didn't answer. So we went through a series of yes/no questions.

I just figured out what it is!! My record of finding out my Christmas gift, before Christmas Day, remains intact.

Yes, but I only go to the dark side with Rob!
He cannot tell a lie, so I always use that to my advantage....especially at Christmas.

But I'm joining a very distinguished club of dark side members....look at the SS Thread!
