The Saga of KittenKiy and the Water Bowl...

My KittenKiya ( a Maine Coon) will pick up the water bowl ( holds about a quart of water, is about 7 to 8 inches around and about 11 inches high) in his teeth, about two inches off of the floor and let it slam down.

Doesn't matter if it has just been changed, or is down, or is filled. Does anyone else's cat do that, too?

My vet told me that my Ducky was part Maine Coon and he LOVES to play in water. He has never slammed down his water bowl though But turn on the water in the sink and he is there, splashing in the water. Hes almost jumped in the bathtub, too. He will sit on the side and put his paws in the water and splash

Not quite that extreme, but Spalding will not drink until he's pushed the bowl around to make the water slosh about.

Wow! That must be one humongous Maine Coon to be able to pick up that much water! I think you need a concrete bowl!!
