I can't find my wallet/planner anywhere

I'm worried cuz it has my daughter's cash in it, not to mention my new birthday ring and all my banking cards, address book, check book, I.D,etc.
How could I be so careless
And of course, I need to buy cat food today

Good luck finding it! You know, I lost mine once and somebody mailed it back to me not missing a dime. It was a very nice older woman, and from her address I'd imagine the postage had probably been a strain on her budget (yes, I mailed her back a thank you note and more than enough to cover the postage).

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to find it!

Yikes. Do you remember the last time you had it? I hope you find it and that it wasn't stolen or accidently left some place.

Back in 1978 when I was 16 years old I got on a bus on the last shopping day before Christmas. I found a brown shopping bag and inside it was a straw purse with a sea shell clasp, the kind of purse you see elderly ladies carrying around.

I looked inside and the wallet had over $700.00 cash in it. I took it to the bus driver and he radioed in for a transit supervisor to meet the bus. The 3 of us counted the contents and it was given over to transit lost and found along with my name, and phone number. I called a couple days later to find out the status of the purse because I was kind of leary that it was actually handed over to the lost and found, and was told the lady called about it and picked it up the day before and was given my name and phone number.

The woman never even called me to say thank you!!!!
I wasn't expecting a reward, and if I would have been offered one would have refused it. But a simple freaking thank you was not much to expect!!!

That experience kind of tainted me. I'm not sure I would do the same thing today if it happened. Well, ok, yes I would, but that still doesn't change the fact that this woman had cashed her pension cheque and was carrying it around with her and a 16 year old kid was honest enough to turn it in. Some might have been tempted to keep it. $700.00 is a great deal of money when you are earning $2.35 per hour working part time.

No, I haven't found it yet, but am keeping up hope. I'm hoping it's here at home - it's actually a planner with a cell phone pocket, but the phone was on the charger when the wallet went missing

I hope that the money doesn't get taken since it belongs to someone else (my older daughter) and I can't readily replace it.
Boy, do I feel STUPID!!

Well, if you have cats (ho ho ho) is it possible that when you put the phone on the charger you put the wallet down somewhere nearby and maybe a paw or two, mistakenly of course, knocked it on the floor??? Under something nearby???

No such luck ...but I did find a missing pot holder under the phone table that somehow made it's way from the magnetic fridge hanger to the living room
Any other search hints are gratefully accepted - I'm at my wits' end....it's after 2am and I woke up worrying about my wallet. I hate to cancel all my cards, but it's starting to look like that's what I have to do...

You could call your bank (or check your online account) to see if there has been any activity on your cards.

My other tip is to stop looking for it, and get one of your friends/family (someone logical and patient) to look for it. When BF (often) or I (rarely) really lose something, it's always the other person who finds it, usually someplace the other one has "already checked".

Oh man!! I sure hope you find it!
My credit card info was stolen a few weeks ago and there are some charges on it that I DIDN'T make.
Have you looked under the couch,in between cupboards and such?
Good luck and sending find it vibes your way
