We had to put down my Puppy.

We had to put my puppy Storm down today, she was 14 and the nicest friendliest dog you will have ever met.
My mom took her into the vet this morning because she was having a problem with her right elbow. The vet took an x-ray and found she had a melon sized tumor on her liver. She snapped at the vet and had a small seizure. My mom decided that she would be better off. This was actually my mom's dog she was her lap dog, walking companion and constant dinner observer. I Can't imagine how hard it was for my mom to decide this. Mom and my brother brought Storm home to the house and Buried her under her favorite loungeing tree. I miss her so much I can barely see to type this so excuse the spelling.
When we got Storm 14 years ago she slept the entire way home on my lap. Both my legs fell asleep but for the life of me I wouldn't have moved her. Last weekend I had to pick her up and carry her down the stairs to go outside. It is kind of like it came full circle.

I miss you Storm, my beautiful black lab.

Oh I'm so sorry, she sounds as if she was a wonderful doggy and had a wonderful life. It can be so hard to let go. RIP Storm

Oh I was sorry to read your post, as mentioned 14 is a very good age and of course, you and your family could not see her suffer, your mom has made a very hard but wise decision You will have some wonderful memories which in time will make you all smile again

Thank you everyone. It has been hard, I don't think it will actually hit me fully until I go home to my parents and she is not there. I get to do that this weekend. My mom is so lonley and i'm feeling so sad for her. My Dad and brother seem to be taking it well but they still miss her.

I think eventually my mom would like to have a dog again but she needs time to recover from the grief.
