In the past, do you tend to put on a few pounds during the holidays?

YES!!!!! I buy too many treats and eat too much for a good 10 days. This year will be different-I'm walking about 2.75 miles/day and have lost 9 pounds-I don't want it coming back.

Not really....I just watch what I eat and try to have a variety of healthy things on my plate and only a few treats. I don't starve myself though- i eat what i want, and when i'm full, i stop

oh yeah, for like 3 years in a row I gained a size over the holidays
it was an accumulation from the whole year that just seemed to go over the edge at the holidays
doesn't help that I stuff my face at Thanksgiving and Christmas either
I no longer take Christmas cookies home though

Don't hate me but no...I've actually tried to gain weight because I am pretty thin and I can't.

Try drinking, Boost, Ensure, or Slim Fast with your meals. (slim fast, if drunk with food will make you gain weight). That's what my niece did when she was pregnant- she weighed 85lbs and just couldn't gain weight even though she ate everything in sight. With the help of those drinks, she gained a healthy amount of weight

Thanks...I've tried Boost and Ensure (Ensure tastes pretty bad IMO), but I don't think I was consistent enough with it. Boost can be expensive.

What do you mean in the past?

Honestly, I have been packing on the pounds and it's depressing.
I've hit 130 and haven't been that for a LONG time. So I'm TRYING to be good but it's SO hard with all that yummy food I don't usually get at other times of the year.
After the holidays I vow to loose all the weight I gained though.

I second that on the Ensure- it's aweful. (some of the slim fast stuff tastes better though
)
