Since the Christmas Market rolled into town, I've been having my fill of Gluhwein (Mulled Wine) and food there! It has to most wonderful atmosphere and so many great things to buy!

I visited the Market (again!) over the weekend and thought I'd share some of my pictures with you!

You can also see these photos and a couple more on VF

I started off in the smaller part of the Market in Saint Anne's Square - see the One Man Band!

I didn't get too many pictures here as everyone was insisting on being in the picture!

From here, you head through the Royal Exchange Arcade, which runs under the theatre. This is a view of the entrance

This is the entrance to the main area of the Market on Albert Square - you can see the Town Hall in the background

This is one of the many sweet stands that give out the most tempting of smells!

Around the edge of the market, you are spoilt for choice with the plants, Christmas trees, wreaths and Bulbs available for sale!

Bird Wreaths - I love this idea!

So much to look at (and buy!
)

At the end of the plant sale area, you reach the Nativity Scene - the quietest and most comfortable place in the whole market at times!

It is lovely! I could spend everyday there if I could!
We have a Farmers' Market fortnightly too and the indoor market in the Arndale that sells a lot of local produce too!

I just adore markets!

One of the central items is the giant spinner (can't remember the real name off hand!
) I bought a noraml sized one for my friend last year!

The Town Hall is also a main feature!

The Father Christmas has been the Town Hall's decoration for 21 years - sadly this will be his last year though!

....and finally - for now!

On the walk back to the main central part of the city, the lights guide you through!

You can see the ferris wheel in the background, too!

I'm sure I'll be taking a ride on the ferris wheel before Christmas, so I'll make sure I take my camera along to show you the sights of Manchester from above!

Susan, the sausages are delicious!
You only get a small piece of bread to sort of use as a handle!

Oh Pam and you would absolutely love this market then! There are so many German (and European) goodies and foods!

Good grief! First Sarah with "squiffy", and now you Susan with "bangers!"
At least you explained what they were straight off!

Oh don't worry, Anne! We did get our fair share that day!

I just chose my photo taking to avoid the rain!

It really does get you in the spirit of the season!
Ah, I had always wondered where the US Manchester was! It would be cool if we were Sister Cities!

Thanks!

Although, I still have to send you a quick
for bragging about being able to pop in everyday!

I'll have to try and meet you there one lunch so we can get a Gluhwein together!
