I have never saw a cat get into the trash before. But Puff does.
I've been throwing this cheese package away for two days now. Obviously I'm going to have to take the trash out sooner since he is doing this. But I have NEVER had a cat do this. What's the deal? Maybe because he was born to a feral? He was only a baby when he was picked up by the shelter. He would have still been drinking mom's milk.

Anyone else have this problem?

Edited to add that it's just this one cheese packet. He hasn't gotten anything else.

He may like the smell or taste. With Ari it's general knocking over the trash can while on one of his wild runs through the house.

We had to get small trash cans with lids for the bathrooms because Lucy would get into them and take the q-tips out. We found those chewed up all over the house.

Misty likes to jump on top of the garbage can, then knock it over and then paw the lid up(one of those swing type kind) and then get into it. I don't even know for what?
