We went to the National Cat Club show at Olympia today. We weren't showing or anything like that, we were there to look at all the different breeds and see what sort of cats took our fancy. We looked at all sorts of cats. All were cute and lovely, and none of the breeds really seemed to be catching our eyes any more than another.... until....

...I spotted the CUTEST most beautiful cats that I have ever seen, bi-colour orientals.
I have always had a soft spot for Siamese-type cats since I was a child, and also have a VERY soft spot for bi-colour cats, and my one main memory of the day is these beautiful cats. We spoke to their breeder, turns out she doesn't live that far from us and is planning a litter for next spring, had a good chat with her and have her phone number/e-mail so we can get in contact about possibly booking a kitten

Also bought loads of things - different brands of cat food, treats, toys - and some catnip - Radar is now 7 months old and just had his first try of it, it was quite spectacular seeing him rolling around on the floor

Cat shows are great fun. I take my grand kids to them. They love to see all the different cats. Skye *the little rascal in the back* is going to be in his first show in Jan or Feb in Maumee Ohio.

You know, Orientals are rather ugly at first glance, but I'd give anything to see one in person. I rather admire them....

Well, as a breeder, I show my cats as often as I can and tell you what, my 76 yr old mom "accompanies"
me all the time! Cat shows and showing cats are addictive! My mom now wants her own cats - Korats, which she will buy and show but I will look after!

Cat shows are most wonderful places to be in! However, do excuse some of us if we tend to be abrupt or curt...especially those of us who have more than one cat showing - our mind is on the cats and the judges ring and some of us do get more stressed then the cats!

I went to the cat show yesterday as well, The only bi-coloured Orientals I saw there were with Tolly's breeder (Lunatora cats)
It was a good show, there did not seem to be as many Persians or exotics as in previous years lots of Bengals and I have never seen so many Ragdolls before. I suppose like everything else the cat world has it's fashions.
The cats like the new toy they got and I bought the first gift for next years SS

Yes, it was Lunatora cats! I have e-mailed her to confirm our interest in adopting a kitten in the not too distant future
Can I ask you what is Tolly like and whether you would recommend her as a breeder? Tolly looks absolutely gorgeous, I have been in love with him since I first saw his photo

I think you should visit several breeders before choosing, as these cats are a new colour there are not many. I would contact them, tell them you are looking for a bicoloured kitten and ask if you can visit, you can then get a feel for them and their cats, how much time they spend with them socialising them etc.
