My company is very small. About 15 employees. We all get food gift baskets on Thanksgiving with meats, cheeses, etc. For Christmas we all get a small bonus. I've been told we all get different amounts based on how we did in the past year. I think it averages around $500 though. Plus we work a half day the Friday before Christmas and then don't come back until the first work day of the new year.

I've worked at the same job for 10 years now. Never have seen a bonus of any kind. Sometimes our clients send money to be divided up umoungst all of the employee's, but if the boss gets ahold of it, which he usually does, he uses it to pay for the cold cut Holiday lunch he has at the office. One time one of the employee's talked to one of our clients who usually send money, and he sent the money to her instead of the office. We got about $8 each. Our boss would rather die, than give out Holiday bonuses, or anything extra for that matter. If he could get away with making us work the Holidays for regular pay, instead of extra pay, he'd do that.

When I worked for a large, multinational casino corporation, the employees all got $25 K-Mart gift cards.

Rob and I have been pretty lucky with Christmas perks.

Rob always gets a good bonus, $200 grocery store certificates and Christmas party/dinner. They also do a gift exchange at work. He usually gets the week off as well since his facility shuts down for that week for inventory count and machine maintenance. He really deserves it though, he puts in 10 hours days, looks after two manufacturing facilities and really keeps the company up and running.

I've always had at least a dinner party at each company I have worked for. Last year I received Christmas bonus, gift and a party with great door prizes.

Yeah, ours is based on 3 things: meeting production goals, Customer satisfaction and safety. We do aircraft maintenance. So when we make budget, do quality work and no one gets injured or damages a Customer's aircraft, WE MAKE OUT! All of these are things we can directly affect, not some EBITDA number that we have no control over.

I don't get anything. Well apparently my boss buys us presents, but I have yet to see or hear anything else about that.

When I worked for a well known auto maker's finance division we would get NOTHING FOR CHRISTMAS!! We were lucky if we could leave 1 minute early from work!! Before the office closed we had 12 employees and would do a small secret snata/ornament exchange. As we were packing up the tree for the last time mgmt didn't even want to give us the ornaments that had been on the tree for a couple of years!! We would get (perhaps) a dinky raise and sometimes "profit-sharing". But Christmas-nada. Some of the dealers though would send us cookies!! DH gets a small turkey at thanksgiving and because he is in mgmt usually a box of food like a ham or turkey, sausage, cheese, chocolates etc. If we will get it this wekk the box should arrive next week.

I've never got any sort of bonus for christmas!! DH got $1000 cash in hand from his company yesterday though!!!
He was ever so sweet, and gave half to me and said to spend it on whatever I like!
He said he wouldn't be able to get through it all if it wasn't for me. Awwwwww
I'm planning on getting the cats a nice big scratching post tomorrow

I start there Monday, so hopefully next year we'll both get it!

No 'bonus' for us. Just a Christmas party, which my office takes separate from the rest of the company, so it's fun and not a chore. We do also have a secret santa among the 6 of us. Oh and last year our boss (one of the 6) did get something for each of us staff members.

DH got a turkey....not sure if that is supposed to be his bounus or not!

I got a check at our christmas party for what is equal to two weeks pay for me. Quite nice. Quite nice i must say. My company is a small woman owned business-- about 25 employees and she treats us quite well.

Hubby on the other hand works in the corporate office of a international corporate recruiting firm. He got a copper colored insulated coffee/drink holder.

We don't get cash bonuses, but we get a Christmas party/dinner and some kind of gift (this year a bottle of champagne, and a fancy mug for mulled wine, last year a Christmas-themed crystal candy dish and some tea). Hubby gets a cash bonus.

We, as in the worker bees, donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t get a bonus for anything. Management gets a yearly bonus in the spring based on how good we make them look.

In years past we would get a half day off on the day before Christmas but this year it is going to be a regular work day.
