I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to watch this new show yet? It is on Discovery and comes on Thursdays at 9:00 pm. It is a GREAT show. It is about medical miracles. Last night they documented a woman who had a rare intestinal disease. The doctor performed a miracle on her. She has a six organ transplant. At one point in the show, they showed her abdominal cavity completely void of organs. Her duodenum, small intestine, stomach, pancreas, liver, and spleen were removed. She lived through the surgery and ended up doing well. Without the surgery she would have died.
Last week they documented an amazing surgeon who performed surgery on 2 different children with major spinal deformities. By the time both of the shows ended, I was in tears. I am not a big tv watcher, but this show really touched my heart.
