The ferals.. they always find me
Well this is the lovely feral at my new house. She lives in the wooded lots on either side of my house and is one heck of a hunter. Every time I see her, she's either carrying or stalking a mouse... so I've called her Mouser. She's quite cute and seems very friendly... she hasnt come over to me yet, but she spent a few hours sitting in the lot watching me the other day and ever since she's been getting closer and closer. I don't plan on bringing her inside. She looks healthy and, well, she's making sure I don't have a rat problem
But I'm keeping an eye on her and if she starts looking unwell I'll try to catch her. We live in a real BFE type of area, so I'm not worried about her getting hit by a car or anything... a car would actually have to come down the street first...

Anywho this is Mouser!

She's stalking a mouse in this picture. Look for the little brown dot on the ground against the wall directly below the water spout. She's such a doll! I hope my efforts to make her a little more comfortable with people work just in case I see her looking unwell and I need to run her to a vet or something. But it's only been a month or so... so here's hoping

Hi, Mouser. This is very strange! When I lived in Florida all the ferals found me but since moving to Texas none have shown up on my doorstep like before.

Mouser sure looks cute! And she seems to be on a mission for those mousies! Good luck in befriending her...if all goes well, someday it could save her life!

Thanks guys
I hope she starts getting more comfortable too! I've found her sleeping in my driveway a few times, so I'm hoping that's her getting more brave. Wanted to leave some food out to entice her, but there's a few too many possums and things around here... don't want to invite all the neighborhood critters
Haven't seen her yet this morning, but sometimes she sleeps in on the weekends

Awwwww how cute she is
Is there a place close to your house, you could leave some food out for her for just a certain amount of time and then take it back up so it wont attract other animals? And get her use to that time frame where food will be available to her?
