While I was reading your post about all the people who had to work Christmas eve, I thought how lucky some are to have people like you guys who bring them cookies, and goodies.
I decided that we'd do the same at work, so I talked it over with my manager and I came up with an idea of giving all the workers of the fire depts and the police depts (including the dispatchers) dinner cards good for free dinners. So 113 free dinners later
, well I hope everyone gets one. It started out just for the people working on the 24th but became the total number of people in each division (fire/police). Oh well, they deserve it once in awhile. They do a great job and seemly hardly get a pat on the back for it.
So Merry Christmas to the Fire/Police depts in our little town. And thanks to kittylover4ever(Susie) for the nudge in the right direction.

What an incredable way to pay it foward!!!!! That is such a kind thing to do for those men and their families!!!!
(there's a little lady who buys a ham for each cop and his family members every year at the police's christmas party. a cop saved her life a few years back, and ever year since, she has given every person on the force a ham. she is such a blessing. last year, the ham she gave colin and i feed us for several weeks
rescue workers and their families definitely appreciate thoughtfullness this time of year when they're not making much
) I'm sure ya'll will make many people's Christmas's

Firemen do a great job- glad to hear they will at least get a free meal for their working at a very stressful time of the year
