Reeses has a few quirks that we love. She has this thing where she'll walk in front of either me or my wife, stretching her back legs slowly as she walks, being all dramatic like "Oh! So stiff!" and she'll do that about 4 times and then flop down on her side in front of us. The funny thing is though that as soon as you get down and pet her, she immediately gets up and moves away. Then as soon as you start walking again, she starts all over!

When we're playing with her, and she stalks her toy, right before she lunges at it, she shakes her butt back and forth a few times almost as like a little warning "Here I come!"

Spaz runs sideways at either our legs or the dog's then throws her butt into them.

Shadow gripes, about anything, and everything.

Trouble talks, he will share all his joys and woes with you, he also grins when you pet him.

Vash will stretch up, and pat you on the shoulder when he's looking for a lap.

Cassi believes in mutual grooming, if you pet her, she simply must lick you in return.

Ivory is goofy, we're not certain she's even a cat.
She barks , kind of a Mrrph! sound. She only wants attention when she asks for it.
She asks for it by first barking, then pawing at you, then if all else fails, she'll grab your clothes in her mouth and give them the old (dog-like) head shake.

Sláine does that as well, really obviously, I think Slayer and Talin do too, but a bit more subtly!

The pre-pounce wiggle, I love that

Radar likes to stick his head under my arm.

He has learned that if he sticks his paw in water and then holds it up and waves it in my face flicking water at me that I will flinch and then laugh.

And when I am feeding him, I have to walk around the edge of the sofa to get to where his food bowls are. He runs ahead of me, and always stops right there, at the narrowest point of the room, with no space to walk around him. He then looks up and miaows as if to tell me to hurry up with his food

Also trying to beat me to the sitting room door. I stand up from the sofa, and Radar is off across the room - up onto the back of the sofa and leaping in front of me onto the bookshelf. Only sometimes he times that last leap badly and leaps smack into my stomach

Hmmmm....lets see:
Chance - loves to play with any running water and burrow under the covers at night.
Pebbles - we have always said is not right in the head. She will be standing next to you one minute, then jump straight up in the air for no reason, fly into the other room and sail to the top of the cat condo doing about 100mph. It's almost like a switch in her brain clicks on and off she goes. She's also just plain moody. Sometimes there isn't even anyone remotely close to her and she'll start hissing, or she'll coax Chance into playing with her only to turn around 5 minutes later and take him out with a swat and hiss. She's made it clear she doesn't like him, yet she eggs him on to play with her then is mean to him. Moody little you-know-what. My daughters call her our "EMO Cat" (that's the term teenagers use these days for someone who is very emotional)
Snickers - is so curious she loves to watch what's going on all the time, but is too scared to get close so she sits around corners and will just peek her head around the corner to watch what's happening. It's so cute!
Peanut - has to drink running tap water only and will paw at the sink and scream at the top of her lungs in the bathroom until one of us goes and turns the water on. Peanut also brings me laundry - everyday, all day - socks, underwear, t-shirts, etc and delivers them to various parts of the house. She also has spent a great deal of time in my tree this year!

Zoey - no quirks - she's too "proper" and too much of a princess to be anything but elegant (or so she thinks).

When it comes down to it - Pebbles and Peanut are my terrors and I think they have the most quirks.

i read somewhere that the little butt shake helps a cat's eyes focus on something she intends to attack. it was about big cats on the animal planet.

1. Abi only meows for two things: food and being let on the deck. when she meows I say "Show me, Abi" and she either walks to the food area in the kitchen or to the door.

2. when we play catch she has to jump on the bed and get in position before I can throw the ball out of the room and down the hall.

3. she loves to rip paperback book covers

4.she climbs up on my chest, purs and kneads and then rolls on her back like a baby and lifts her chin for me to stroke.

5. when she sees me carrying a wet washcloth or nail clippers she leaves the room.

6. She loves to watch tennis matches on TV

7. when she can't reach a bug she comes whining to me to knock it down so she can get it. I feel like her partner in crime.

8. she adores me and that her BIGGEST quirk.

My Ginger does the EXACT same thing, except she really DOES want her belly rubbed. Once she flops, she arches and stretches and rolls from side to side so I can properly admire her and tell her how beautiful she is while I rub her belly. (Always in a chin to bottom stroke, if I go up from the bottom, she gets peeved and jumps away from me.
)

At the moment, Ferris-the-semi-feral is ALL quirks, like cuddling up with my roomie but bolting like I'm the devil incarnate if I happen to walk into the same room that they are in.
He has started to show me his belly, too, but I've already learned that is an invitation for pain - he bites HARD!

My favorite quirk of Wontons is his chattering in his sleep. You know how some cats chatter when they're excited, they see a bird out the window, ect. Well if Wonton is sleeping, and you have the umitigated gall to sneeze, cough, or talk too loudly, he'll chatter-meow a complaint. And thats exactly what it sounds like too, as if he's saying "I'm sleeping, come on
Be quiet!". "me-me-me-meowwww". It's SO cute, and it never gets old.

Trout is a little weirdo......

She loves to play fetch, has since she was little

When I leave in the morning, she jumps up on the windowsill of the door and hangs there by her paws peeking out the window at me

She will purr and bite me in the same instant

She sleeps a centimetre away from the heater...uh, I think I smell her fur burning

She loves to lick my hair

She hisses at me pretty much every day...although I am certain she is a happy cat..she doesn't like me telling her NO, when she is biting.

Her purr is like a motor, it actually wakes me up when she sleeps near my head

I wouldn't trade her for anything

Duke has a habbit of walking in front of you meowing that he wants food, but wait, that was a trick... he then imediately flops down, rolls onto his back and expects your to rub his belly. (Yes a cat that likes a belly rub)

Sibohan has a habbit of jumping from the floor onto my shoulder at wierd times like when I am drying off after a shower or cooking dinner at the stove. This is no small feat I am 6'1".

In a state of misery w/o my Bella
Bella
always had to lay on a blanket, even on my lap, she would stare at me till I put the blanket on, then jump up

My Little Severino does not like to eat alone.

Severino stares at me like Children of the Corn to try to wake me up.

Severino sits at the counter on the stool and watches me make dinner every night.

Sophia loves washcloths...we don't know why.

Sophia loves bare skin and will knead u to death on that bare skin

Joey's just weird.
