Do you have plants in your home and if so, what type are your favorites?

I've got lots of plants now. I never used to be able to keep any alive, but now I'm much better. Most of them are surviving, and many of them are even GROWING!

My favorite right now is my prayer plant. I also just bought a banana plant that's ver nice (it didn't give me any bananas yet though
)
My peace lily is nice too, but anytime it has a flower, the cats destroy it.

I have silk flowers since so many plants are toxic to cats I figure this is the way to keep the girls safe.

The ones you can't kill
I have a problem with the 8 other critters here eating on them, I used to have lots but not anymore.

You're asking a florist is she has plants in her home
hehe, yup, i think it's safe to say i do

I have:

Rosary Ivy,
Spider Plant
Bamboo
African Violet
amarylliss
minature roses
coffee plant
Philodendron
tulips
lilies
orchids
cyclamen

some of my plants are fresh, some potted...etc... ALL plants that are toxic are our of the reach of my animals at all times. They are never able to access them (they're hanging) The ASPCA has an online list of plants which are considered to be toxic and plants which are considered to be safe in homes with animals. I highly recommend anyone with both animals and plants in the same home read it over. If you have toxic plants, make sure they are hanging, out of reach and access of your animals, and make sure you pick up any fallen foliage regurally so your animals cannot get to it and eat it. Here's the link to the ASPCA site

I have an English ivy, another kind of ivy, a spider plant, a philodendron, and a dying chrysanthemum. At work I have a poinsettia; I haven't had it long enough to kill it.

I can't have plants of any kind because of Gracie's obsession with all greenery.
If I bring a plant into the house, she instantly become obssessed with it, believing it is something she must eat. Nothing keeps her away. If I put it out of reach, she gets as close as she can to the plant in question and stares and/or meows it for hours.

I have one small tree, but I have no idea what kind it is. I actually bought it at Target. Other plants I've had didn't make it.

One English Ivy, that I always kept at work. My favorite plants have always been ivy and vines (Philodendron, English Ivy, Pothos, and Swedish Ivy).
I have never had a lot of plants at one time.

I have heartleaf philodendron, a spider plant, and a jade.
They all winter safely away from the kitties in the downstairs bathroom with a timed grow light.

I have lots of plants, but I don't have the energy to dig out the English names. Spider plant, fern and yucca are the only ones I remember in English right now. Couldn't do without them and the cats aren't that interested, because I grow them barley sprouts to chew on.
