Do you have plants in your home and if so, what type are your favorites?
I've got lots of plants now. I never used to be able to keep any alive, but now I'm much better. Most of them are surviving, and many of them are even GROWING!

My favorite right now is my prayer plant. I also just bought a banana plant that's ver nice (it didn't give me any bananas yet though )
My peace lily is nice too, but anytime it has a flower, the cats destroy it.

I have many plants in my home, but they are all fake I have 2 favorites a HUGE tree in my living room and my grape vines in my kitchen.

I have silk flowers since so many plants are toxic to cats I figure this is the way to keep the girls safe.
Nope no plants. The cats destroy them!
No real plants and one big fake tree...I can barely take care of myself!
nope, no plants for me, caring for all these cats and dogs is enough!

every once in awhile I find something growing in the back corner of my fridge....like something that once resembled an orange....but now resembles a green lump.

The ones you can't kill I have a problem with the 8 other critters here eating on them, I used to have lots but not anymore.

You're asking a florist is she has plants in her home hehe, yup, i think it's safe to say i do

I have:

Rosary Ivy,
Spider Plant
Bamboo
African Violet
amarylliss
minature roses
coffee plant
Philodendron
tulips
lilies
orchids
cyclamen

some of my plants are fresh, some potted...etc... ALL plants that are toxic are our of the reach of my animals at all times. They are never able to access them (they're hanging) The ASPCA has an online list of plants which are considered to be toxic and plants which are considered to be safe in homes with animals. I highly recommend anyone with both animals and plants in the same home read it over. If you have toxic plants, make sure they are hanging, out of reach and access of your animals, and make sure you pick up any fallen foliage regurally so your animals cannot get to it and eat it. Here's the link to the ASPCA sitehttp://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer...ro_apcc_common

I have an English ivy, another kind of ivy, a spider plant, a philodendron, and a dying chrysanthemum. At work I have a poinsettia; I haven't had it long enough to kill it.

I can't have plants of any kind because of Gracie's obsession with all greenery. If I bring a plant into the house, she instantly become obssessed with it, believing it is something she must eat. Nothing keeps her away. If I put it out of reach, she gets as close as she can to the plant in question and stares and/or meows it for hours.

I have one small tree, but I have no idea what kind it is. I actually bought it at Target. Other plants I've had didn't make it.

One English Ivy, that I always kept at work. My favorite plants have always been ivy and vines (Philodendron, English Ivy, Pothos, and Swedish Ivy).
I have never had a lot of plants at one time.

I have heartleaf philodendron, a spider plant, and a jade.
They all winter safely away from the kitties in the downstairs bathroom with a timed grow light.

Artificial! Don't want to risk Rocky and Marie to the poisonous ones.

I have lots of plants, but I don't have the energy to dig out the English names. Spider plant, fern and yucca are the only ones I remember in English right now. Couldn't do without them and the cats aren't that interested, because I grow them barley sprouts to chew on.

You and I would have a hayday at a market or a greenhouse together

I currently have a lovely silk ivy and a rather realistic silk orchid.

I tried to have real plants there for a while but I killed an ivy, an orchid, and a jade plant. I don't know how.

The plant here on my desk at work is still alive somehow. I think the housekeeper that comes at nigth takes care of it. Don't know what it is, but its a succulent of some sort that once had a pink bloom...?

I have one. My mother gave it to me. It's in a special pot so I only have go water it once a month....if I even do that. I DO NOT like plants. I will not touch them! They give me nightmares! My mother knows this too. I have no idea why she got me it! It doesn't even flower!

I don't have any live plants because they die as soon as I bring them in the apartment. Although I'm much better with an outside garden, house plants and I don't mix.

I'm down to only three that I've been able to keep alive in our new house. My favorite is my Christmas cactus. It's the same type of Christmas cactus that my grandmother had in her house (except hers was HUGE). The odd thing is that it tends to bloom out of season when big events are happening in my life...it bloomed in May when I got engaged and two years later in May when I got married, it bloomed for the birth of each of my nieces and my nephew, and it's bloomed at other significant times. We always say that it's a sign that Grandma is watching, and she's happy for us.

I do all right with plants when I don't forget them Fortunately, Rob has a green thumb and doesn't forget them, so I don't need to feel guilty. There are actually more plants than we have room for: spider plants, prayer plants, jade -- anyone want a gazillion jade plants (slight exaggeration) -- pothos, dragon tree, assorted others whose names I don't know.
The only plant in this house is cat grass.
No plants here, Trout ate a flower and almost died once, so I don't have any plants as she will just eat them..

Ive got 4 plants. A Rubber Plant, A Ficus, a Mother In Laws Tongue and a Peace Lily. I guess my favorite is the Peace Lily.
