Flannel sheets are the best

Thread Starter
With a recent low temps its sure nice to get into bed with flannel sheets!!
We do not turn on the heat (unless neccesary) in the bedrooms so the bedrooms are a bit cooler than the rest of the house. I picked up a set of flannel sheets about 10 days ago and they are nice to sleep in!!!

I love flannel sheets, too. We use them all year 'round here. We are by the shore and it's ALWAYS cold at night, and they are so warm and snuggly.

Is it time for bed yet?

Cheers, from

I love them too! My Aunt spoiled us and bought these nice fancy ones and then we went and bought a bigger bed. Fortunately my MIL found us some nice ones at JC Penny too!

Gail! That is sooo true. You up there in Wisconsin would know.
I ordered online flannel sheets - skiing penguins! They arrived and are so fluffly and super soft, not "cheap thin flannel".

I prefer plain cotton sheets. I find flannel sheets too warm.

But not at the same time... I tried that once and all night I had the feeling I was stuck to a felt board!

p.s. I like The Company Store's flannel sheets the best, they are thick and soft.

About how much are they most Ive seen have been way more then I would ever pay for sheets. Warm or not. I cant buy them right now not with having to dish out so much for Nazumi but maybe soon if they are reasonable at walmart.

It depends on when you get them (if you wait till right after Christmas when everything's marked down, they'll be super cheap! Last year I bought two queen size sheet sets from there for $9.99 (they were cotton, not flannel.) but they were reallly nice)

I'd say you're likely to pay betwee $10-25 depending on where you get them. Wal-mart, Target, Big lots, places like that have them cheaper than say dpt. stores or other places

They have the best flannel sheets on QVC.com Northern nights, I have about 3 or 4 sets, plus all of the Northern night sheets are wonderful, I have some 400 thread count they feel great in the summer

I love flannel sheets but even if it's 30 below out, they are too hot for me. I have to have it COLD in a room to be able to sleep.
I freeze DH out

I love flannel sheets, and could really use some right now - it's 15 degrees out! I threw out our old set last year becuse they had a hole in it. I did mention to my mother that Christmas is coming and I could use new ones

Soft and fuzzy is my FAVORITE. I have leopard print flannel sheets that I found on eBay, along with a flannel duvet cover to match! I just stuffed a regular comforter in there and now I am TOASTY warm at night!

I asked for a new set of sheets for Christmas from my roomie - they are micro-plush fleece and really soft like blankets. You can see them here: http://www.domestications.com/Produc...&dept_id=10010

I saw a big box from Domestications in the hall addressed to him the other day, so I am really hoping to wake up to a set of these on Xmas morning!!!

Trout is a girl?? He is??? Well that makes sense because most Torties are female, if not all. SHE is gorgeous.

I love flannel sheets, too! We had fitted sheets and duvet covers in flannel for the winter, but since getting a (heated) water bed in late October we've gotten rid of the fitted ones. We never heat our bedroom, and hubby insists on leaving two balcony doors open even in winter, so the flannel sheets (over down comforters) are the only way I survive the nights! They're so cosy!

Mervyn's had a one-day 1/2 price sale, yesterday. I now have a lovely set of red flannel sheets and they were only $30.00. I wish they had had purple ones and the leopard-print ones didn't come in queen size
