deciding what tiles to use with this mural was making me nuts. I finally found a stainless steel colored tile to coordinate w all the steel in the room and it was finished today: I don't want to leave the kitchen.

and done in time for holiday cooking !!!

Hey Diana - nice kitchen! We're in the middle of a complete overhaul remodel and that darn backsplash is the only thing we haven't figured out what to do yet! Perhaps I'll borrow some of your ideas!!

I have to ask - what do you think about your pot filler faucet behind the stove? I'm considering one but have to make a decision in the next 24 hours - the plumber is redoing all of that right now.

the counter mount pot filler by Blanco is FANTASTIC. I use it almost daily. for pasta, risotto, soups, stews and when i use the rangetop griddle I just sprinkle water on the hot griddle, scrape it down with a spatula and the gunk goes into a little reservoir I empty and wash. I am REALLY glad I splurged on that feature.

PS it reaches two burners and the griddle and I didn't want a wall mount in the middle of my mural

I love that backsplash! It's a wonderful splash of colour in your kitchen, and looks unusual. I like the stainless steel tiles too - I haven't seen those around.

I don't think it would match my house with the whole country theme I have going but I love it, its beautiful and really matches the kitchen.

Thanks for the updated pics! It looks fantastic. Love it!

You're giving me great ideas on my kitchen reno. I love the counter mounted pot filler. Normally, it's such a pain to take your pot over to the sink and fill and carry back over.

my dining room will be cranberry red and the master bedroom forest green, and my dressing room aqua... but the best is a teensy one person room under the eaves I use for meditation. It's purple with teal and turquiose woodwork. Complete heaven. I adore color. Here is my foyer doormat:
