Our new kitten Hercules has watery, pink eyes. He is a Snowshoe Siamese male and is around 9 weeks old. He was at the vet when he was 7 weeks old and they told me the kittens were in perfect health except for the large amount of fleas. His eyes were fine until just over 2 hours ago. I took Herc over to my friends place to play with his sister Xena and he starting getting runny eyes. My friend said that he has insulation in his bedroom and that Herc slipped in the door behind him. Is it possible that he got near the insulation and this is what caused it? I know it can really irritate humans eyes. I am going to make my own eye cleaner with warm water and a bit of salt for now. Any advice would be helpful!

It could be anything from an irritable substance to an actual infection. Just because they are fine, just the stress of moving or change could bring on an upper respitory infection. I would just wipe them with warm wet cloth and not use the salt. If they aren't anyh better in a few days, I would go to the vet and see if he needs an antibiotic.

I took him into PetsMart and they recommeded Feline Eye Wipes. They said to clean his eyes out for a couple of days and see what happens. I am going to try that, and if it gets worse or doesn't clear up, I will head straight to the vet!!
