What are you talking about - she's not even middle aged yet!

Well, I'll tell ya, when I hit 40, everything just feel apart physically, so for me, 40 feels more than middle aged!

(Taking a wise tone)
That can happen at any age - I started to fall apart at 14! I was mentioning to my boss, a few months back, that I was starting to have trouble remembering things (under stress, I was having a bad time), and she was consoling me with, "well, you know, you're not as young as you were", I was aghast "But I'm only 26!" She was incredolous "When do you think it starts?"

(Sternly)
The moral of the story is that you're still only barely middle aged, even if it's only cause I say so.

You can start considering yourself on the young side of old around 66, if you must.

You're not old! (I don't think you're mean, either.)
