Hi guys,
I need some advice from you on what to feed my 5 month old bengal x who will begin showing in domestic class in January. He has a slightly duller coat and I need to know what the best wet/dry food would be for ensuring a glossy coat - I can't find any that specificly cater for this.
I'm in Australia so I need wet and dry food I can get from here or that can be sent over to me (i'm not sure if customs would intercept it thats all).
The only problem is that he doesn't the kitten wet i've tried as its alot drier, is it possible to get a runnier kitten wet?

Currently he's on Supercoat Kitten dry and i've been swapping wet between Advance, and Purina Fancyfeast.

Any help would be appreciated.

You will get all negative comments about this from others on this board who know a lot about cat nutrition. A lot of breeders who show cats feed IAMS. It does contain by-products which is a main reason that people don't like it. It must have some kind of positive effect on their coats though.

Shiny pelts in bengals come from consistantly feeding a high quality food. Buy the best food you can possibly afford. Bengals should not have dull coats, so he may not be getting the right diet.
Bengals also need a higher protein level than other cats.

Get rid of the fancy feast and go with a premium canned food. If he likes it soupy, mix in a little chicken broth.

Buy a chamois and wipe him down daily, this will remove any dead hairs and shine him up.

If none of this works, it may just be that the X factor in your cat is producing the dull coat.

Good luck!

I was also going to say get rid of the Fancy Feast - McDonald's for cats.

Read the labels and get a good quality cat food would be my advice. What was your breeder feeding them?

Actually, some varieties of canned Fancy Feast are surprisingly not that bad ingredients-wise... I've found a couple of canned cat food varieties (Fancy Feast and a few others) at grocery stores that actually did not contain any by-products, corn, or "fragment" ingredients!

true but all but one Natural life are fish based and that isnt great either ...

I beleive Royal canin is fairly avail in Australia as is Nutro ... either of these would be good choices...
