Kitty cold sore?

Can cats get cold sores? Last night I noticed one corner of Midget's mouth was puffy, and upon closer inspection I found what looked like a cold sore in the corner of her mouth. Today it is looking better, still a bit puffy but no apparent sore. Was this actually a cold sore?

This has to be bumped up. Cats do get herpes infections, but I wonder if your cat might have a rodent ulcer? http://www.marvistavet.com/html/eosi...granuloma.html I wouldn't just assume that it was a cold sore - have your kitty checked out by a vet.
