Is this combination even possible?

On another message board I belong to someone asked about what kind of cat this is or what kind of "mutt" mix you would need to create this coloring.

I was not even sure it was possible. Is there a chance this is photoshopped?

Either way these are adorable

wow those are some strangely-colored cats! they look like a cross between one of those red lemurs, a raccoon and a cat
I have no idea what could have caused those markings

That's what I was thinking of, not red lemurs- do those even exist?

They totally look like red pandas!

Yes, I just did a quick image search on google - the Red Ruffed Lemur - they look similar too, so we're both right

ETA: I've now found red lemurs and red bellied lemurs too, there are an awful lot of different types of red lemur out there! They all look the same to me

I use PhotoShop all the time and for a product that costs well over six hundred dollars it had BETTER be able to change the colors! This is not to say these are not really true color cats but somebody with PhotoShop experience could very easily have done this.

One of Annie Rose's brothers had almost the same coloring. It was a tiny bit lighter but he was awesome. I met him when I picked up Annie from the breeder after she was bred. Very neat looking!

BEWARE, NERD RANT!
I photoshop all the time...
If you guys & gals look at the kittens feet, you'll notice that their is absolutely no detail on the white fur whatsoever. The brightness, contrast and tint of this photo was altered prior to being placed on the internet.

I'd imagine the orange fur on these kittens (in reality) is actually similar to a siamese seal-point, or something like that.

Okay, end of nerd rant... they're still adorable though!

Picking up nerd rant...

If you look at the "point" coloring, its a little too 'clean' for a pointed cat. Especially for the color to be that dark. The kittens should have 'tracers' extending from the mask to the ears.

Ending nerd rant pt. 2

And they are cute. I almost wish they DID come in that color!

Definately a manipulated photo. The artist didn't do a very good job either I'd say.

Wow that is a seriously strange color combo...but definately photoshop. The orange is way too bright, which is probably what first got to me. Then the colorpoints. Way to distinct and identical

It's photoshopped, definitely, no cats look like that. BUT, a white/black/red combination of colours is possible--it's called calico. It's just not possible in that pattern you see there.

IMO real calicos are a lot prettier than the kittens in that picture.

Having read this thread, I couldn't resist having a go. Look at the multi-coloured Tolly

Wow, some amazing genetics there. The parents must've been a green and a red!
