my kitty she is around 6 years old this happened a month ago also
the vet found a couple bad teeth I had them out,, she was fine for about a week,, then she threw up 2 days in a row kind of alot, now she is not eating again she seams normal otherwise just staring sometimes
I do not want to take her to the vet again she hates it they did all the blood work so far all good I am thinkin she just got sick and now is afraid to eat thinking she may get sick again, she does eat a few little pieces of food and very little water. how long should I wait until another trip to the vet we have been trying different food again this is crazy thanks for any input

Cats can never be afraid to eat. The reasons they won't eat are if they are not hungry or if they are sick. All of my kitties hate going to the vet but I still take them especially if they are hurting.
Your cat is not only not eating she is also vomiting a lot. That sounds serious. Please bring her to the vet.

thanks for the reply but like I said this happened a while back
they did not find anything but the teeth issues she was not dehydrated
lost maybe .3 of a pound and that was with not much eating that week.
they tested her for everything they could and found nothing what makes you think they will this time.. and I have excellent vets all they do is cats
I will call them today and see what they say,, she has not thrown up again
I can not think of anything she got into and ate I am thinking maybe a virus
cats do get sick also,, I will keep you posted if you would like,,
oh also she shakes her head alot I did mention that to the vet we both
thought removing the teeth would help,, looks like that was not the root cause of her problems ghets frustrating you know for sure

She probably threw up because of whatever meds or anesthetic she had last time, but you must take her back because whatever her problem is (and the teeth may or may not have been responsible) it needs looking into and being upset for a day may be the least of her worries.
